FUNERAL

MR J. R. CLARKE

The funeral of Mr John Randolph Clarke, which took place at the Bromley cemetery, #as attended by many relatives and friends. The service Was conducted by the Rev. J. G. Heath, of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Addirigton. ■ '" :i '■"'■

Mr Clarke, who was 37 years of age, was the only son of Mr and Mrs D. Clarke, of Lower Riccarton. He was married "in 1936 to Elsie Mai, only daughter of the late Mr and Mrs T. R. Smith, formerly of Moorhouse avenue. He was employed by Blackwell Motors. Ltd., in their sales department. He was a member of the Canterbury Aero Club, Addington Tennis Club, and the Christchurch Working Men's Club.
