MORE THAN £7OOO WORTH OF CARGO SALVAGED (P&XSS ASBOCIATIOK TELEOHAM.) INVERCARGILL. January 17. More than £7OOO worth of cargo was salvaged from the stranded steamer Waikouaiti yesterday. This included cotton, silk; shearing machinery. 40 drums of white spirits and also four Ships' steel derricks.'' A fully-equipped 'diver is at work ami' is—meeting -with great success, in spite of heavy seas in Foveaux Strait.
