THEATRE ROYAL

" ARE YOU A MASON ? " TO BEGIN ON SATURDAY

"Are You a Mason?" will have its first presentation by Celebrity Amusements. Ltd.. at the Theatre Royal on Saturday, starting with a, matinee. "Charley's Aunt" will be presented tonight and to-morrow night. The new presentation was an instantaneous success when it was first produced in New York just on 40 years ago, and after successes all through America, .companies were formed for its production in all parts of the world. The original company included two persons whose names are well known in films, Cecil B. de.Mille, and May Robson. The plot of "Are You a Mason?'' is unusual, based on the adventures of two husbands, who decide to have a gay time while deceiving their wives with the age-old story of having to attend a lodge. Some ludicrous and diverting situations develop, of which Don Nicol and a capable cast make the most.

In this cast-of the current presentation is Shirley Ann Richards, who will be remembered for her work in the screen successes "Tall Timbers" ; and "Dad and Dave Come to Town," playing in the latter with Bert Bailey., Her acting leaves nothing to be desired and. theatre fans will welcome the opportunity of seeing her in other plays or pictures; Other players are Phil Smith, Norman Barrington, John Fleeting, Charles Albert, and Lane Patterson.
