R.A.F. FLIGHT INTO GERMANY
BERLIN COMMENT ON EXPLOIT (Received January 15, 8 p.m.) BERLIN, January 14. The Official German News Agency admits that British aeroplanes deeply penetrated Greater Germany on January 12, but contends that the exploit was ineffectual because it was achieved at night. It adds: “The aeroplanes did not roach Bratislava. They turned back far west of Prague and Vienna and for • this reason anti-aircraft guns did not fire, though ground observers followed the course throughout- . , “The flight was not comparable with the German day flights over Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, the Shetlands, the Orkneys, and Scotland.”
