TT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTI- *• FIED that the Riccarton Borough Council at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, 189 Clarence street, Riccarton, at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, 18th December, 1939, passed, the following Resolution: — THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and all other Acts and powers, if any, it in that behalf enabling, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: 1. To raise a loan of Nine Hundred Pounds (£900) for the purpose of extending and improving the electricity reticulation over the whole of the Borough, providing cable, transformers, meters, poles, vehicles, buildings, workshops, purchase of land for sub-stations, instruments and all articles necesprovement of the said electricity reticulation within the Borough of Riccarton. 2. That such Loan be known as "The Electrical Extensions Loan, 1929, Supplementary Loan, 1939." 3. That the term of the said loan shall not exceed Twenty (20) years, j 4. That the interest on the said loan shall be at a rate not exceeding Four Pounds and Five Shillings (£4 ss) per centum per annum, payable half-yearly. 5. That the form of security for the payment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be by means of debentures and relative coupons of a form in conformity with the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926. 8. That anamoust of Three Pounds and Ten Shillings (£3 10s) per centum per annum be and is hereby appropriated, and is pledged to be set aside as a Sinking Fund for the said loan. 7. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the Interest and Sinking Fund and other charges thereon, a special rate of One Twentyfirst (l/21s't) of a PENNY in the I POUND on the rateable value on 1 the basis of the Unimproved Value of all rateable property i comprised within the Borough of | Riccarton. 8. That the cost of raising the loan t and the Interest and Sinking Fund for the first year of the said loan be not paid out of the loan.. 9. That the Riccarton Borough Council Sinking Fund Commissioners, viz., Alan F. Fisher, Alfred E. Steere, and Ross Hepburn be and are hereby appointed Sinking Fund, Commissioners in respect of the said Loan. IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the foregoing Resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of.the Council to;be held in the Council Chambers, 189 Clarence street, Riccarton. at 7.30 p.m. on MONDAY, the 22nd day of JANUARY, 1940, for confirmation as a Special Order.
