THIRTY ARRESTS IN EIRE
—— RAID BY I.R.A. AT PHOENIX PARK MILITARY CORDON ROUND DUBLIN (tTJTITSD PESSS ISSOOUTIOH—COPTB-'GET.) (Received December 29, 9.30 p.m.) DUBLIN. December 29. Thirty arrests have been made following the raid on the Eire Army’s magazine and fort at Phoenix Park last Saturday by supporters of the Irish Republican Army. A military cordon round Dublin is being maintained. Not only vehicles but also pedestrians and cyclists are being examined. The search continues in five counties. Some of the military guards of the magazine are charged in connexion with the robbery. The Government has offered £IOOO as a reward for information leading to recovery of the booty, which included 1,000,000 rounds of rifle, machuje-gun, and revolver ammunition.
