RATES OF PAY INCREASED
* Soldiers in Special Force NEW WAGE SCALE ANNOUNCED Effect From Date Of Embarkation (press associatios telegram.) WELLINGTON, December 29. The rates of pay for the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force, while serving overseas, have been increased to give the following gross wage rates as from the date of embarkation:— Officers of all Arms of the Serriegk except Medical and Dental
Field allowances and professional’allowances, formerly prescribed rately, have been consolidated and included in the rates specified which _are basic rates for unmarried men without dependants. Dependants’ allowances, in addition to specified rates when- payable will be:— ; Married allowance, 3s a day. Children’s allowance. Is 6d a day for each child, up to five, under 16 years.
