HIGHLAND PIPE BAND
ANNUAL DINNER HELD Mr T. M. Charters presided over the - annual dinner of the City of Christchurch Highland Pipe Band, held at Coker’s Hotel. The following toasts were honoured (with names of those who proposed and responded to the toasts given in parenthesis):—“ The City of Christchurch Highland Pipe Band” (the Deputy-Mayor, Ci. J. S. Barnett, Mr Charters); “The Highland Pipe Bands’ Association” (Mr J. S. Chisholm, Mr G. M. Telfer); “The Highland Regiment” (Mr Charters, Major J. B. Mawson); “The Visitors” (Mr L. C. Travers, visiting bandsmen).
