The full power of the Port Bowen’s engines was nol available to-day to assist tugs endeavouring to refloat the vessel. The starboard engine is out of commission, the propeller being either bent or jammed. ' „ At noon to-day the three tugs hooked bn to the Port Bowen, endeavouring •to haul the vessel off. One mushroom anchor and two bar anchors were laid. Another mushroom anchor is coming from Wellington, and still another in Wanganui is to be utilised if to-day’s efforts fail.
