• ♦ "GOOD PROGRESS MADE DURING YEAR” Good progress had been made during the year, and meetings and luncheons had been well attended, said the report presented to the seventh annual meeting of the Canterbury chapter of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries. The chapter chairman, Mr A, E. G. Lyttle, presided. . - The report expressed appreciation of the kindness of speakers who had given of their time to address members and thus keep them in touch with current affairs. A satisfactory number of candidates had presented themselves for examinations, and the majority had been successful in securing passes in the subjects for which they sat. „ The chairman was congratulated on his work during the year, and the honorary chapter secretary, Miss Frances L. Cooper, was tendered thanks and appreciation for her work. The election of the committee resulted as follows; Messrs W. H. Amos, C. F. Champion, C. J. Gray. H. Hamer, W. McClure, A. E. G. Lyttle, R. McPherson. E. C. Rawnsley. T. W. Robson T. W. A. Stringer, W. L. Watson, and Miss R. Thomas. A chapter chairman and vice-chairman, and various sub-committees, will be elected from this committee. _ _ Messrs W. H. Amos and A. E, Or. Lyttle were appointed delegates to the Dominion council. Miss Frances L. Cooper was reappointed honorary secretary and urer. and Mr S. F. Marshall was appointed honorary auditor.
