OBITUARY MRS F, CRUMP Mrs Frederick Crump, a highly respected resident of Springston South died recently. She was the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. B. Flute, Greenpark. She was the first woman member of Ethelbert Lodge of Druids, Springston. ~ , * There was a large attendance of friends, residents, and brethren of Ethelbert and Star of Anglesea Lodges at the funeral. The service at St. Mark’s, Greenpark, and at the Spnngston cemetery, was taken by the Rev. C. L. Sparrow, of Lincoln. The bearers were members of the Ethelbert Lodge. Many floral tributes were received. MR A. T. HAMILTON Mr* A. T. Hamilton, who died at Springston recently, was the youngest son of Mr Enoch Hamilton, and was e’ducated at ' the Springston South School. After his father’s death he purchased his father’s farm. He is survived*by his widow, one daughter, and two sons. The funeral was a very large one and left the home of Mr J. Woods (father-in-law). The service was taken by the Rev. H. Cottom at the Springston cemetery. The bearers were Messrs Woods (2), G. H. Hoskin, and L. Hamilton. Many wreaths were received. YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB AT OXFORD

The monthly meeting of the Oxford Young Farmers’ Club was held recently. There was a fair attendance. Talks were given by Messrs Rowlands, Humm, and Goldman on herd-testing. MUSICAL SOCIETY CONCERT r A successful concert, including partsongs, quartets, duets, and solos, was given by the Rangiora Musical Society on Wednesday evening.
