Demand Continues Active CROSSBREDS SELL AT STEADY RATES (ratrap nm association—ooptbiqht.j LONDON, July 19. At the wool sales 9276 bales were offered, including 4191 New Zealand, and 7515 were sold. A moderate selection met with further active demand, especially for crossbreds and best merinos; which sold, chiefly to the borne trade at steady rates. Withdrawals were more’ frequent among slipes owing to low bids. The following prices represent the lowest and highest obtained: New Zealand greasy crossbred, 7d, lid, and llfd; stipe halfbred lambs, Makerewa, 14Jd and 14fd. • /
COMPANY NEWS WOOL WORTHS, LIMITED PREFERENCE DIVIDENDS PAYABLE Woolworths, Ltd., Sydney, announce that half-yearly dividends of 5 per cent, on the paid-up 10 per cent, preference share capital, and 3J per cent, on the paid-up 7 per cent, preference share capital, will be paid on .
