' The * Parliamentary ‘ Secretary ta the Admiralty TMr Geoffrey Shake* speare) stated in the House of Commons that it had been decided that pending a report on'the Thetis inquiry, a naval vessel capable of communicating with a submerged submarine, will attend •at diving- trials, and the submarine will tow a type of marking buoy while diving so that its position will be made known. The civilian personnel attending the diving will be given an opportunity, which the naval personnel already has, of making practice escapes in a tank, using the Davis apparatus. In addition, the number of man on board daring diving trials will be eloeely scrutiaiaed.
