XTOTICE is hereby given that at a ill Special Meeting of the Waimairi County Council, held on the 21st day of June, 1939, the following RESOLUTION was passed as a SPECIAL ORDER and will be submitted for confirmation at a Meeting of the Council to be held on the 16th day of August, 1939 RESOLUTION. WAIMAIRI COUNTY BY-LAW, 1939 (No. 1) AMENDMENT TO BUILDING BY-LAW. In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the “Counties Act, 1920,’ and the “Health Act. 1920," and of all and each and every' other power and authority thereunto enabling it, the Waimairi County Council, acting or. behalf of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Waimairi County Council, hereby makes and ordains this By-law. SHORT TITLE. The Short Title of this By-law shall be: THE WAIMAIRI COUNTY BY-LAW, 1939 (No. 1). 1. DISTANCE BETWEEN BUILDINGS: Clause 146 of the Waimairi County By-law, 1934, is hereby amended by the deletion of the word “FIFTEEN” where it occurs in the Clause, and the substitution therefor of the word,' “TEN.” G. 'W’OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in pursuance of the provisions of the Rating Act, 1925, Sections 51 to 58, and the Counties Act, 1920, Sections 120 and 121, that it is the intention of the Wairewa County Council at its next ordinary meeting to be held on Monday, 14th August. 1939, to make and levy General Rates as follows: —, A General Rate of one penny (Id) in the pound in the LITTLE RIVER RIDING; A General Rate of fifteen-sixteenths of one penny (15-16 d) in the pound in the KAITUNA RIDING; and A General Rate of one and oneeighth of a penny (IJd) in the pound in KINLOCH RIDING: On all rateable properties as now appearing upon the Valuation Rolls for the several Ridings within the County of Wairewa on the basis of the Capital Value. The above-mentioned rates include the Hospital Board Levy for approximately £1790, and will be for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1939, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1940, and shall be due and payable in one sum at the office of the Wairewa County Council, Little River, on Thursday, 31st day of August, 1939. The Valuation Rolls are open for inspection during, office hours at the Council’s Office as aforesaid, and the Rate Book will be open for inspection on and after Tuesday, 15th August, 1939.
