SOCIAL SECURITY
TO TBS EDITO* OS TBS PRESS. Sir, —Under the Employment Promotion Act, I, in common with all wage-earners, paid a quarterly levy of ss, the last instalment covering the period of three months ending April 30. As I understand the position, lam now to pay this quarterly levy to the social security fund, the first payment being due on April 1, so that for one month I must pay double. This appears to me just another instance of Government robbery. Am I forced to pay this levy of ss, or can I deduct the sum of Is Bd, being the amount overcharged?— Yours, etc., INQUIRER. April 3, 1939.
