KAIKOURA CLUB The Kaikoura Miniature Rifle Club opened its season in the Drill Hall. Mr H. Hayward (president) welcomed those present. The following scores were registered:—Men; T. Nelson 72, B. Bur land 72. T. Reardon 69, H. Hayward 77, S. Workman 78, M. Reardon 76, H. Miller 79, R. Fitzell 74, J. Orchard 77. J. A. Johnston 80, G. Burrows 79. Women: Mrs T. Reardon 74, Miss Turner 69, Miss Gibson 68, Mrs H. Reardon 78, Miss Leigh 76, Miss Jones 66, Mrs D. Low 75. Mrs E. W. Harris 74, Miss Harmon 72, Miss Turner 73, Mrs Storer 71, Mrs S. Cormack 77, Mrs Jorgenson 74. The senior button was won by Mrs S. Cormack and junior button by Miss Leigh. HORORATA CLUB The first practice shoot of the season was held- on Monday night.
