was broken off four years later because the bridegroom felt that bis position as a junior diplomatic official did not justify the marriage. They were re-engaged when Mr Harrington joined the Metal Corporation. In the meantime Miss Bowes-Lyon conducted her own business bureau, where she advised brides regarding their wedding arrangements and organised social events. She proposes to continue her work after her marriage.
