SOLUTION FOR PALESTINE

LONDON, March 16,

The Government submitted its final proposals for the solution of the Palestine problems to the Arab and Jewish delegations separately. The meetings were adjourned.

It is understood that the plan provides for a transitional period dependent on peaceful collaboration between Arabs and Jews, during Wljich an Executive Council composed of British executive officers, some nominated by Arabs and Jews will act as Ministers without portfolios, while a nominated advisory council on which Arabs and Jews will be represented in proportion to population will carry on the government under the British High Commissioner.

Future development will be decided in Palestine when the populations are reconciled.

Jewish immigration is limited to 15,000 a year for five years, after which the question will be reconsidered.
