MUSICAL SOCIETY ELECTION OF OFFICERS Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Royal Christchurch Musical Society were as follows: — Patrons, Lord and Lady Galway; president, the Hon. Sir R. Macfarlane), Lady Wigram, Madame Gower-Burns, Mrs Gallop, Bishop Brodie, Dr. J. Hight, Dr. J. C. Bradshaw, Professor J. Shelley, Professor F. Sinclaire, Messrs T. Andrews, M. S. Brown, W. Izard, W. Machin, R. E. McDougall, J. S. Wearn, J. L. Hay, E. H. Andrews, A. E. Caddick, W. H. Rose. P. H. Venables, W. Thomas, Dr. J. Guthrie, Messrs J. W. Beanland. H. D. Andrews, C. Foster-Browne, Ernest Jenner, Charles Clarkson, W. S. MacGibbon, L. Travers, and L. F. De Berry; librarian, Mrs Hollingum; honorary solicitor, Mr A. F. Wright; honorary auditor, Mr H. W. There was a large attendance of chorus members and subscribers at the meeting. The chairman (Mr W. H. Rose) congratulated the society on the success of its activities last year. Appreciation of the work of Mr Bullock, Mr Andrews (chairman), Miss Butler, the secretary (Mrs N. W. Robbins), and the women’s auxiliary was expressed.
