WOMAN’S FALL FROM TRAIN
VERDICT AT INQUEST The death of Mrs Minnie Frances Shelley, aged 52, who fell from a Christchurch-Lyttelton train early on the morning of February 3, was investigated at an inquest completed before Mr E. C. Levvey, Coroner, yesterday afternoon. A verdict was returned that Mrs Shelley died from fracture of the skull and other injuries she sustained when she fell from the train at the Waltham road crossing, but that there was no evidence of how she came to fall. Mr E. T. Layburn appeared for the relatives, and Mr A. J. A. Fuchs for the Railway Department. 'Hie inquest was conducted for the police by Sergeant Wade.
