Pettit (Victoria). Tinline Scholarship—To be shared by Pauline M. Robinson (Canterbury) and T. C. Larkin (Victoria). Latin—Patricia F. D. Hulston (Canterbury). Half share in additional scholarship also awarded— Dorothy E. Leslie (Auckland). ! Greek—M. W. Speight (Auck- ; land). I French—Patricia F. D. Hulston I (Canterbury), without emolument. | Half share in additional scholarship —P. W. Day (Auckland). I History—Scholarship divided between Beatrix E. A. Robertson (Auckland) and Ruth M. Fletcher (Victoria). Economics—G. D. L. White (Canterbury). Philosophy—Renee M. E. Reeve (Canterbury). Education Scholarship divided between Margaret A. White (Auckland) and R. D. Midgley (Canterbury). Pure Mathematics—L. G. Geering (Otago). Applied Mathematics—E. I. Robertson (Victoria). Physics—Scholarship divided between A. S. Baxter (Otago) ,and K. D. George (Auckland). Chemistry—M. E. Stace (Auckland). Botany—Elizabeth J. Batham (Otago). Zoology—Patricia M. Roberts (Auckland). Geology—P. H. G. Hamilton (Otago). Engineering—M. R. Head (Canterbury). Architecture ScHolarstiip is divided between C. F. Come (Auckland) and K. W. Douglas (Auckland). Agriculture—D. V. Gordon (Canterbury Agricultural College). Cook Memorial Prize Theodora Marsh (Otago). Sir Julius) von Haast Prize 0. D. Paterson (Otago). Post-Graduate Scholarships in Arts R. R. Cunninghame (Victoria) and A. W. Stockwell (Canterbury). 1851 Exhibition Science Research Scholarship A. J. C. Nicholson (Canterbury). , Post-Graduate Scholarship in Science B. H. Mason (Canterbury). * Macmillan Brown Agriculture Research Scholarship 1. D. Blair (Canterbury Agricultural College). Travelling Scholarship in Architecture T. F. Haughey (Auckland). Travelling Scholarship in Engineering J. C. North (Canterbury). British Council Dominion Scholarship For this scholarship the council will select a scholar from the following:—A. R. Low (Canterbury), W. D. Borrie (Otago), and H. Hudson (Otago). Carnegie Scholarships It was resolved to nominate the fallowing:—G. B. Beath (Otago), A. J. Campbell (Otago and Canterbury). It was also resolved to nominate J. G. Caughley (Canterbury) for an Imperial Relations Trust Travelling Studentship. Shirtcliffe Foundation Shirtcliffe Fellowship—H. B. Fell (Victoria). Shirtcliffe Research Scholarship— E. G. Edie (Otago). Shirtcliffe Graduate Bursary—L. G. Geering (Otago). Free Passages It was also resolved to nominate the following for free passages:—R. R. Cunninghame (Victoria), A. Wv Stockwell (Canterbury), W. D. Borrie (Otago), and Molly I. Mullan (Canterbury). The awards for the 1851 Exhibition Science Research Scholarship, the Post-Graduate Scholarship in Science, and the Shirtcliffe Fellowship are conditional on approval by the commissioners for the 1851 Exhibition Scholarship of the nominations forwarded.
