ROYAL CHRISTCHURCH MUSICAL SOCIETY
“We are sorry to say that our financial position is not as good as we would wish, although we came through the year with only a small loss,” states the annual report of the Royal Christchurch Musical Society. After dealing with details of the work of the society during the year the report concludes; “The traditions of this society are worthy of our best efforts to maintain the high musical standard of the past; may we go on undeterred, giving of our best in order that the public may have an opportunity of hearing the work of the great masters.”
