WATERSIDE CLAIM HEARD IN ARBITRATION COURT ' (FSBM ASfOCIATIO* tilbokak.) WELLINGTON, March 13. An incident that occurred during the loading of the Port Gisborne at Wellington on January 13, 1938, had a sequel in the Arbitration Court to-day, when an appeal was made from the decision of Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., who found in favour of a gang of watersiders'who were charged with a breach of the waterside workers’ award. The men refused to work during the tea hour, and Gannaway and Company, stevedores, sought to recover from W. Anderson and 11 others £5 each for refusing to continue loading the Port Gisborne during that hour. After hearing legal argument on the Magistrate’s decision, the Court reserved its decision. late sandwich (2): Mrs G. E. Smith 1. Sponge sandwich (3): Mrs G. E. Smith 1, Mrs W. J. Vincent 2.
