WAITIKIRI CLUB ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Waitikiri Golf Club was held at the clubhouse last evening, Mr A. H. Blank presiding over a large attendance of members. Mr Blank referred to the large Increase In the membership of., the club, which now stood at 200. This was an excellent achievement for such a young club. The following officers were elected.. President' Dr. W. H. Simpson; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. Machine, J- H ' Kcnzle, W. J. H. Sedgley; captain. Mr A. H. Blank; secretary, Mr H. J. Hoods, assistant secretary and treasurer, Mr B. a. Donovan: committee, ur. Brown, Messrs P. C. Bayley, D. ville L. J. LeCren, E. W. J, Million, Colonel R. B. Smythe; honorary auditor, Mr Denys Hoare,«Women; Captain, Mrs A C. McKillop; secretary. Miss Z. Hudson; assistant secretary and treasurer, Miss M. Sowden; committee, Mesdames J. E. K. Brown, Charles Bell, A. R. Blame, Geoffrey Hamilton, and Misses Helen Buchanan and Joan Cuningham. The chairman reported that one of the six grass tennis courts was now open for niav. One-third of the amount required for the installation of a swimming pool had been subscribed by members. The baths would be completed by the beginnfng of next season. Residential accommodation for seven guests was now available at the clubhouse. It was decided that the opening day should be held next Sunday, March 12. for members and their friends. A mixed foursome would be played m the morning and a bogey in the afternoon. Post entries would be accepted.
