The following are the movements of the Union Steam Ship Company’s cargo steamers in the trans-Pacific service:—

Limerick: Left Lyttelton December 30 for Melbourne, Burnie, Sydney, Suva, Lautoka, Suva, Papeete, San Francisco, and Vancouver.

Hauraki: From Los Angeles, due Papeete December 31, Auckland January 9, Wellington January 14; thence Melbourne. Burnie, Sydney. Suva, Lautoka, Suva, Apia. Papeete, San Vtaneisen, and. Vancouver.

Cape Horn; Left Los Angeles December 31 for Papeete, Rarotonga, Auckland, Napier, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. Tolten; Left Papeete December 23 for San Francisco and Vancouver.

The approximate forward loading dates at Pacific Coast ports, subject to alteration without notice, are:—

Tolten; Expected to leave Vancouver January 15. San Francisco February 1, Los Angeles February 3. Due Auckland, via Papeete, February 28; thence Wellington. Lyttelton, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle.

Trevanion: Expected to leave Vancouver February 10, San Francisco February 26, Los Angeles February 28. Due Auckland, via Papeete, March 25; thence Wellington, Dunedin. Melbourne, Sydney. SHIPPING NOTES To-day is a holiday on the waterfront at Lyttelton. _ . The Hohndale is to load here on Friday for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Port Whangarei is timed to load here on Saturday for Auckland, Tauranga, and Whangarei. The Holmglen is now due here on Saturday from the south, and is to load and sail for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato. WAKAKURA DUE TO-DAY H.M.S. Wakakura, the mine-sweeper attached to the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, is expected to arrive at Lyttelton to-day from Auckland. She is topsail for Dunedin. NAPIER STAR AT WELLINGTON From London the Napier Star arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning. She will finish her discharging at Lyttelton. PURIRI EN ROUTE With a cargo of slag the Puriri. recently built for the New Zealand trade, is en route from Immingham to Auckland. She is due at Auckland on January 25. RUAHINE LEAVES CURACAO The Ruahlne, en route from Xmmingham, left Curacao on Thursday. She is due at Auckland on January 24. INTERCOLONIAL SERVICE Awatea leavis to-day for Sydney, due January 6. Leaves Sydney January 6 for Wellington, due January 9. Maunganul leaves Melbourne January 4 for Bluff, Dunedin. Lyttelton (January 11). and Wellington. wanganella left Melbourne December 29, Sydney December 31, for Auckland, due January 4. Leaves Auckland January 6 for Sydney due January 10.
