REGATTA AT AKAROA

ROWING AND SAILING LARGE ATTENDANCE Ideal weather prevailed at Akaroa yesterday when the annual regatta, the first inter-club fixture of the season, was held. There was a light north-easterly breeze with the boats, and there was just, sufficient chop on tlie water to make the oarsmen pay regard to it. The course was the usual one of 70 chains and the time-table was fairly well maintained. Points secured for the D.C.L. Cup were: Union 35. Avon 25, Akaroa 21, Canterbury 17. Results: —
