DESIGNER OF HAIR FASHIONS
FORMER ATTENDANT ON ROYALTY IN N.Z.
IPBECS ASSOCIATION TELXOBAIM WELLINGTON, December 26. A man who has attended many of the crowned heads of Europe, Mr K. Kropacsy, arrived at Wellington by the Awatea to-day. Before bis retirement Mr Kropacsy was recognised as one of the leading hair fashions’ designers in the world. He was reluctant today to speak about his contact with Royalty. “They are the most human and charming people in the world, but it would not be fitting for me to say more,” was his only comment. Mr Kropacsy said that he was a British subject. He first visited New Zealand 10 years ago. In Europe to-day, he said, the most marked feature of, hair fashions was the upward tendency. Women would understand the term “upward tendency,” but for the benefit of males he explained that it meant the drawing of the hair upward from the nape of the neck.
