THE CHRISTMAS LILY
Many flowers grow in my garden And I wait for them one and all, To open their buds to the sunlight By the old garden wall. There are beautiful scented roses Forget-me-nots, pink and blue, Dear old-fashioned mignonette And phlox of every hue. But the queen of all my garden Is the Christmas lily fair. With its message of love and peace, God blessed it. and put it there. —-LORNA STACKHOUSE. L.B.H. Caged 10), 61 Junction road, Middelton.
