MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED
COLLISION WITH CAR

A motor-cyclist suffered fatal injuries when his machine was Involved in a collision with a motorcar on the Great South road, about four miles south of Mercer this afternoon. The victim was Walter John Crowe, aged 21, a tractor-driver, a son of Mr and Mrs James Crowe, of Linton, Palmerston North. Crowe, who was employed at the Lone Kauri Camp, Piha, left Auckland for Palmerston North with another motor-cyclist. It was the intention of the pair to spend Christmas at their homes, which are both in the Palmerston North district.
WOMAN FOUND DEAD
Constance Grace Wall, a married woman, aged 26, was found dead m the bathroom of her home, 30 Bletsoa avenue, at 8.30 a.m. yesterday with a throat wound.
MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED
Alfred Roland Howe, 34 Cqlenso street, Sumner, suffered head injuries when a motor-cycle he was riding collided with a tram on Ferry road, near the Heathcote bridge, yesterday. He was taken to the Christchurch Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. His condition late last night was reported to be serious.
