(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELE6RAM.) WELLINGTON, December 22. Six of 10 New Zealand officers who graduated this year from the Royal Military College of Australia at Duntroon, and who have been posted to the New Zealand Staff Corps, returned by the Wanganella yesterday. Four others are remaining in Australia to undergo a special artillery course.
The 10 are: Lieutenants R. de la Cour, R. B. Dawson, W. C. T. Foley, T. M. S. Dew, R. B. Symon, J. Burns, A. J. Young, D. Curtis, I. A. Murray, F. N. Armstrong. The Minister for Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) said to-day that the men were sent to Duntroon under an arrangement with the Australian Government, whereby a certain number of New Zealanders were being trained to become regular officers. This was one of the many directions in which close co-opera-tion was being maintained between Australia and New Zealand to the mutual benefit of both. The officers were to be posted to various stations throughout New Zealand.
