CHINESE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE STRUGGLE

News agencies in London have not received confirmation of the Japanese peace offer reported by the Hong Kong correspondent of “The Times.” Opinion in London is that China will not respond and is more determined to struggle on under the encouragement of British and American credits.
PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT RECOGNISED CHUNGKING, December 21. The Chinese Government has ordered a complete reorganisation of the Kwantung Government. General Li Han-wen has been appointed Governor and Commissioner of Civil Affairs and Mr Ku has replaced Mr T. L. Soong as Minister for Finance. General Chang Fakwei has be m appointed Commander-in-Chief in South China.
