AIRLINERS MAINTAIN SCHEDULES
POOR VISIBILITY CAUSES ONLY SLIGHT DELAY
The stormy weather over the last week has had little or no effect on the schedule of the Union Airways’ liners flying to and from Christchurch. Visibility on several occasions has been poor, but not sufficiently bad to prevent the departure of the liners from any airport or cause any dislocation of the service, the greatest delay at any period being from five to 10 minutes. The sea coast route has been used throughout the bad weather between Blenheim and Christchurch, the inland route being suitable only in fine weather.
Bookings are heavy for the holidays, and starting to-day additions are being made to the regular time-table.
