PROGRESS LEAGUE AT WAIMAIRI BEACH
The president (Mr P. E. L. Broad) reported at a meeting of the Waimairi Beach Progress League that at a conference with the Waimairi County Council and the Christchurch Drainage Board and representatives of the it was decided to extend the drain m Beach road to Pinewood avenue.
The secretary was instructed to write to the local police complaining of straying cattle in the Ascot district. Mr J. H. Mcllraith, for members, made a presentation to Mrs Brittenden in appreciation of her providing supper for members at the monthly meetings.
