The Lincoln School's annual picnic was held recently at The Pines, Kaiapoi. There was a good attendance, and a pleasant day was spent. Races were held for adults and children.
General Artur von Schuschnigg, father of the former Austrian Chancellor, was buried, without official military honours, in Vienna.
