The final returns ior the Temuka electorate revealed, after the completion of the official count yesterday a decrease of 20 in the majority of Mr T. D. Burnett (National) over Mr J. A. Kearton (Labour). Mr L. W. Parrant, the Returning officer for the electorate. commented on the low number of informal votes cast in his district. Out of 72 booths only 16 returned informal votes, w.hich totalled 28 The largest polling booth in the electorate, the Temuka Drill Hall booth, which returned 590 votes, had not one mioOut^of°ae roll of 10.136 only 369 votes were not/cast.
