Has anyone suggested that these 99 oer cent, votes in countries where the Government is in complete control represent democracy? They disclose a democracy in chains, with the vaunted voting power of the individual legislation may be passed by a democratic government, but once the Socialist State is enthroned democracy and the individual’s pojver is _ enslaved. Newspapers, radio, all right of speech can be controlled by the dominant political party. And so far we have seen this to be the case. Make the individual the slave of the State and you make him the slave_of Ahe dominant political party. The Socialist State is a totalitarian state, and once the Rubicon is crossed the individual is doomed. , , . The matter is important, because despite all the denials, the Labour Party has this as its objective, and if Mr Lee is out of step with the Government one or other side should force a cleavage.
