Gear Meat shares were firm at 14s 4d. Kaiapoi Woollens had business at 3s 9d, and there were further buyers at that price, sellers at 4s. Berlei (New Zealand) changed hands at 65s, buyers staying in at that price, sellers at 70s, Electrolytic Zinc were stronger, with buyers of the ordinary at 42s lOd. and of the preference at 46s 7d. Buyers of G. J. Coles raised their bids to 79s 6d, but sellers wanted 80s. Tax-anaki Oilfields, which on Fi'iday rose from 12s 7d to 14s Id. were, on Satui’day, dealt in at 13s 9d, and there were further sellers at that price, buyers at 13s 7d. Woolworths were fractionally weaker at 21s 3d, market closing 21s buyers, 21s 4d sellers. Mount Lyells were firmer on buyers offers, 28s 2d. Mount Morgans were firm at 10s lid and 10s lOd. market closing 10s 9Jd buyers, 10s lOd sellers.
