LAND FOR 118 HOUSES
Purchase Approved By Cabinet AREAS IN SPREYDON AND ST. MARTINS (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, August 18. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Housing (Mr J. A. Lee) announced to-day that the Cabinet had approved the purchase of further areas of land as follows: — Wellington—Areas in St. James, Wyndrum, and Leighton avenues, Bauchop and Malone roads, and the Hall Jones settlement. Lower Hutt, for the erection of 46 houses; an area in Waru street, Khandallah, for 13 houses. Auckland—Area at the corner of Dominion road and Princes avenue and Duke street, Mount Roskijl, for eight houses; areas in Premier avenue, Pasadena avenue, and Moray place, the corner of Johnston road and Bungalow avenue. Kiwi and Buxton streets, and Great North road. Point Chevalier, for 12 houses; area in Rosebank road and Victor street, Avondale, for three houses. Onehunga—Area at the corner of Campbell, and Rawhiti roads for two houses. Waipukurau—Area at the corner of Tavistock and Holyrood terrace for four houses. Shannon—Area in Stout. Grand, and Whitaker streets for five houses. Christchurch —Area in Wilsons road, St. Martins, and Studholme street, Spreydon, for seven and 13 houses respectively. Palmerston —Area in Main North road for five houses. Green Island —Area in Scotland terrace and South road lor seven houses.
