It is most important that, as far as fat ewes are concerned, a GUARANTEE must be given that they are free of lamb, otherwise freezing buyers will not compete. Vendors are ill advised to send ewes in lamb to the fat pens, as they are sure to be rejected, and are then only worth potter price.
