WATERLOO CUP MEETING FEW KILLS IN OPENING ROUNDS IPBIBS ASSOCIATION TKLXORAIC.) INVERCARGILL, July 28. There was good coursing in the opening rounds of the New Zealand Waterloo Cup meeting which began at the Invercargill racecourse enclosure to-day. The weather, was cold but there was a satisfactory attendance. The hares were healtliy and strong and there were few kills during Thirty-one dogs competed in the first round and although the first courses of the day produced little work because of the speed of the hares, there were a number of arduous runs in the later stages, in which the work was well up to Waterloo Cup standard. A team of tnree dogs sent to Invercargill by Masterton competitors did not fare well, only one surviving the first round, This one. however ran very well and should be prominent in the later rounds. Rushton's (Nightcaps) Maggie White beat J. Webb's (Oamaru) Great Worry; Kennelly and Tathams (Invercargill) Wilga's Worry beat A. E. Smitßis (Invercargill) Beon; Marshall Bros.' (Edendale) beat J. Webb's (Oamaru) Donaldson, J. Wilson's (Dunedin) Fairy Divot ran a bye; N. Marshall's (Invercargill) Oratress beat Kennelly and Tatham s (Invercargill) White Worry; J.
