PUBLIC WORKS# CAMP AT PURAU A camp is being established at Purau by the Public Works Department for the accommodation of 70 men. The men will be employed in improvements to the Hilltop road and other roads in the district. Children’s Playground Workmen from the Public Works Department have begun preparing the lower part of the children’s playground for tar sealing. A quantity of stone from the former prison yard is being removed. When completed, the grounds will be used for basketball and other sports.
