SOCIAL AT CARLETON
An enjoyable evening social, organised by the Carleton Cricket and Tennis Clubs, was held in the Carleton Hall. Music for dancing was,supplied by Mrs G. Mehrtens, with extras by Messrs A. Wornall and E. Bexley. Mrs C. Tomlinson and Mr R. Reid were the winners of a Monte Carlo dance, and a card competition was won by Mrs S. Glow and Mr R. Higginson (Oxford). Mr A. Dewar was master of ceremonies. Among those present were Mesdames G. Higginson (Oxford), S. Glew, C. Tomlinson, E. Bexley, G. Washington, O. Spriggs. G. Mehrtens. J. Farr. E. Storer, Misses M. Farr, Daisy Reid, A. Miles. M Glew. E. Reid, F. Osborne, Betty Storer. Molly Bennett. W. O’Loughlin, S. Mehrtens. G. Washington, D. Bexley, Spriggs, C. Mehrtens, M. Dewar, and Pearl Higginson (Oxford ).
