CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN AUCKLAND MERCHANT SERIOUSLY INJURED ASSOCIATION TELSGBAXj AUCKLAND, July 31 A well-known timber merchant Charles Henry Frankham, aged 67. e< Herne Bay, was admitted to hospital with serious head injuries after a crossing accident shortly After W o’clock last night, his heavy sedan motor-car being struck by the engine of a suburban train at level crossing, Mount Eden. The car was dragged along the track for about 75 yards, before coming to rest across the permanent way. . Frankham was driving alone m the car. He was directly on the crowing near the boundary of the Auckland gaol when struck by an engma going from Henderson to Auckland.
