LAND ACQUIRED FOR STATE HOUSES
♦- - TWENTY-NINE DWELLINGS FOR BRYNDWR (PBESS 4.SSOCIATIO* MLBGBfM.) WELLINGTON, July 26. Mr J. A. Lee, Parliamentary. Undersecretary in Charge of Housing, announced to-day that the Cabinet has approved of the purchase of land in the following localities:— Auckland—Areas in Enmsmore, New North, and Harleston roads, and Hendon . avenue, Mount Albert, sufficient for 13 house units; area in Wicklow road, Devonport. sufficient for two house units; area in Green Lane Beacn parade and Royal terrace, Remuera, sufficient for seven houses. Foxton —Land in Park and Robinson streets, sufficient for'seven houses. Wellington—Area in Porirua road, Ngaio, sufficient for 26 house units; area in Allen street, Lower Hutt, sufficient for two houses; area in Pine crescent, sufficient for 21 houses. Woodville —Area in Vogel and Ferguson streets, sufficient for three houses; section in McLean street, sufficient for one house. Christchurch —Area in Bounty street, Bryndwr, sufficient for 29 houses.
