MASONIC BALL
GATHERING AT OXFORD Many guests, including visitors from Christchurch and North Canterbury, attended the Masonic ball held at Oxford. Members of the ladies' committee who were responsible for the successful arrangements were Mesdames Bowman, Sharpe. Inwood, Reed, Glew, Roberts, Hepburn, K. D. Henderson, C. E. Johnson, R E. Johnson, and Brown. Special lighting had been arranged in the hall and in the lounge, and the supper room was bright with Iceland poppies and narcissi. During the evening a solo was sung by Mr W. Toomey (Christchurch). Colin Campbell's orchestra supplied the dance music, and the masters of ceremonies were Messrs R. H. Trevella and S. C. Glew. Amongst those present were Mesdames E. A.
