LABOUR PARTY DANCE
The annual dance o£ the Lyttelton branch of the New Zealand Labour Party was held in the Excelsior Hall on, Saturday night. A committee consisting of Mesdames R. Cairns, W. Laing, J. Flood, Misses D. Butcher, G. May, and Messrs S. Miller and G. Cousins was responsible for the arrangements. Among those present were Mr B. M. Macfarlahe (Mayor of Christchurch) and Mrs Macfarlane, Mr E. J. Howard, M.P;, and Miss Mabel Howard, Mr i. H. McCombs, M.P.. and Mr J. Roberts (chairman of the Christchurch Labour Representation Committee). Music Was played by Nolan’s Orchestra, and Messrs P. Campbell and J. Garner were masters of ceremonies.
