WOMEN’S TEMPERANCE UNION

PAPANUI BRANCH

One new member was initiated at the monthly meeting of the Papanui branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union. The meeting was held in the Presbyterian Girls’ Bible Class room, with Mrs Corbett presiding. Members were greatly interested in an address given by Sister Alice, who described some of her work amongst poor families in London. Reports were given on visits to the Mental Hospital.
