MANY HAPPY RETURNS TO ALE ON “THE PRESS SHIP”

Lady Gay didn’t know whether to wear a Most Expensive Smile or 76 pairs of Spectacles when she started to write this letter. You see, she felt solemn and glad. In the long run she decided to try both, so you will know that all the solemn bits are due to the Spectacles, and the glad parts are the Smile.

Many happy returns to us all, Shipmates and Sunbeams. Three years ago Lady Gay, Mother Bunch, Peter, and Ernest packed their suitcases, and moved across the Square from the “San” office to “The Press.” Then. “The Press Ship” set off on its voyage of-adventure. .In these'three years the work has grown to a surprising size. Sometimes Lady Gay sits backhand says in a surprised voice : “Oh, CAN it grow any bigger still?” But it always does. '

The best thing about the greater part of our work is that so much, of it has been for others. Then, too, we have had gay times and jolly times. And Lady Gay has worn Expensive Smiles most of the whole three years. Don’t forget, girls and boy i, that you belong to the very oldest, girls’ and boys’ page in the Dominion. It was 13 years old when it moved over to “The Press.” That really makes it 16 now.
