RESIGNATION OF COLONELS
MINISTERS DECLINE TO COMMENT (nXM 1 ASSOCIATION TALBOXAM.) WELLINGTON, June 24. Both the Prime Minister (the Rt Hon. M. J. Savage) and the Minister for Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) said that they had no statement to make when asked this evening whether any significance was attached to the announcement that Colonel A. S. Wilder and Colonel N. L. Macky would relinquish their appointments as honorary Aides-de-Camp to his Excellency the Governor-General (Lord Galway). The two officers were signatories of the manifesto recently issued by four senior territorial officers commenting on thf Government’s defence policy.
