BOXING
GANZON TO MEET CLASS TO-NIGHT Dommy Ganzon, the Filipino dam* pion, whose two appearances in Christchurch this season have sained him many followers among boxingenthusiasts, will to-night meet at tha King Edward Barracks “Snowy” an aggressive boxer, with an excellent record. Chirk has won eight ofl his 12 most recent bouts by knockouts, and has to his credit a knockout win over Dal Costa, in the second round. He has also beaten Mickey Miller on points over 12 rounds. Clark is the opposite in style to Henry Dmnv who met Ganzon last week, and be appeals as being just the type of fighter to suit the Filipino’s brilliant attacking style. In his bout with dad; Ganzon will be under no disadvantage of weight. Both men are about the same. The bout means much to Ganzon tin* week lor he has to win to qualify for a bout with Mickey Miller. An excellent programme of amateur preliminaries will be provided, and enthusiast* are promised many good bouts.
